PRACTICE INFORMATION
Since the pandemic began, like many psychotherapists, I have seen the demand for my services far exceed what I can provide. After taking on a higher number of new clients than I had ever before I was forced to stop taking new clients. My availability continues to be quite limited but I have opened a waiting list. All potential new clients who contact me will be considered for a waiting list. If you fill out the form below I will contact you over the next few business days to discuss with you the possibility of waiting for the next available appointment.
Please note that I have discontinued in-person therapy due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In lieu of in-office visits I am offering HIPAA-compliant video conferencing or standard telephone sessions. Please note that videoconference sessions are only available for New York State Residents and you must be in NY State at the time of the session. My office is located at:
1392 Albandy Post Road
Suite 2E #2
Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520
(914) 996-7328
Insurance Participation
My insurance participation has recently changed and some insurers may list me as being in network due to the the process of unenrollment being ongoing. I am currently only accepting clients for the waiting list who have United Health Care, United Healthcare Oxford, Optum, Aetna, and Lyra (an employee benefit program).
Unfortunately, I am unable to accept new clients who have the Health Plus/Medicaid, Empire BC/BS, Beacon, Cigna, UHC Community Plans, GHI or Emblem plans at this time.
Rates
Out of pocket rate is $200 for an initial session and $150 for each additional session forty-five minute session. If you wish to use "out of network benefits" documentation will be provided. There is also an $80 last minute cancellation fee when less than 24 hours notice can be given before an appointment. This fee will be charged to a credit card held on file. This fee will not be covered by insurance. Copays, deductible payments or out-of pocket fees are collected by Alma, a company I contract with to provide billing services.
Telehealth
During the COVID-19 period some insurance plans are covering Telehealth at 100% (ie you may not need to pay your copay). Telehealth services can be provided over the phone, or video chat using Doxy.Me or the SpruceHealth messenger app. Video conferencing will require a smartphone or computer with camera. All the insurance companies I work with are currently reimbursing for Telehealth although this may change when the COVID-19 period ends. Due to licensing regulations Telehealth/videoconferencing is only available to individuals who are in New York state during the time of the session.
Providing psychoTherapy for adults (18 and older)
I have chosen to focus exclusively on treating adults (18 and older) as this is the population I have the most experience working with. For child therapy, I would recommend consulting Suzanne Luntz in Croton On Hudson (Look her up on PsychologyToday.com). I do not currently provide psychological testing or neuropsychological testing. As I am a psychologist, I do not prescribe medication. If you are looking for a psychologist for someone else (such as an adult child) please ask them to fill out the form below with their contact information.
Waiting List
The first step to getting on the waiting list is to fill out the form below. I will contact you by either text or email to arrange a short phone call. The purpose of the phone call will be to discuss your options with you and ensure that it seems like we would be a good fit to work together before you go on the waiting list.
